As many of our readers will already be aware, the horrific discovery of a hanging human skin on Hangman’s Pass was reported on the 10th of December 2019 by the Hathian Observer (see: “Brutal Discovery As Killer Leaves Victims Remains On Cross”). We can now confirm that suspect Asmus Zero (27) has been placed under arrest by Detective Lieutenant Krystal O’Neil at the Clam Convenience Store, Hathian on 15th of December 2019.

It has been reported that Asmus Zero who was drunk at the time of the arrest, was shot in the chest after attempting to launch a dangerous attack on Det Lt. O’Neil and forcing her to need to defend herself. He currently remains under arrest in serious condition in Hathian General Hospital.

The victim has now been identified as a woman named Athena Perez. Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to her family at this tragic time.

It is hard to know what would motivate a person to commit such a hideous crime. Though as previously reported an envelope was left at The Observer containing a  photograph of the victim’s skin along with the cryptic message:

“Time itself takes people away from us.
Being a sheep takes people away from loved ones.
Are you a sheep or a wolf?
The girl on the cross was a sheep”

The citizens of Hathian should be glad of the prompt action of the Hathian Police Department and that we can all sleep a bit sounder in the knowledge that they are working tirelessly to keep us safe.
