Hi there! This is Meghan Millet, your fellow Hathian artist! As you may know, I love art. I enjoy painting and sketching; particularly in the genre of photorealism. Today, I want to give you some tips on how to transform your living room into something from an art magazine. You don’t even have to have the artistic skills in order for your friends and relatives to stop and be in awe of your home. So, shall we begin? Great!
- Creating a focal wall. To brighten up your dreary living room, adding a pop of color to one wall will give your place some pizazz! Choose any wall to be the focus and then just buy a can of pain. Preferably, pick bright colors such as, Dragon Fire, Lavender, or Tiffany Blue.
- Creating a 3-D art. Not really into painting? Well, why don’t you create your own masterpiece! Turning your walls into something from an art gallery will have you become the talk of the town—in a good way. Use 3-D accents such as flowers, butterflies, or go up and beyond and make your own.
- Using your own handprints as a design. Nothing says extraordinary like having walls covered in a handprint pattern and you can boast to your friends that they are made by your lovely hands! All you need is paint and just dive right in! For me, I would love to take one plain, white wall and use Perylene Red for my handprints. It would look like a fun murder scene. Although, if I ‘truly’ wanted to make it look like a crime scene, a more of brownish-red would do better. I would call it…..Slasher Fan Art!
