After a hard fought election, the three new members of Hathian’s government were sworn on on Wednesday by District Judge Angus Stanley. New councilmembers Alexandra Markus and Kian Traviss, along with Mayor Nickolas Matfield, all spoke their words in a private and brief ceremony, allowing each to get started in what has been a small hiccup in the maintenance of this small Louisiana burg.
Councilwoman Perina McGinnis was also in attendance, but unfortunately Zipporah Caverly had a prior engagement.
