The sweltering heat wave that has plagued Hathian since the beginning of June seems to finally be tapering off, though temperatures are predicted to stay unseasonably high for at least another week before returning to average.

The heat wave has not been helped by the persistent drought that has also settled over the area. Thankfully, a small system should be making its way towards the city, bringing a dose of much needed rain.

The long term forecast for the rest of the summer is expected to be historically average, with highs of 90F instead of the triple digits that the city has been experiencing.

For the time being, water restrictions are still in place, and residents are being advised against spending excess amounts of time in the sun.
