It is with deep regret that we inform the community of the death of Kaoru Matsuo, who took her own life in the early morning of May 4th, 2014 at Hathian General Hospital. She joins her parents Midori and Shinji Matsuo and surviving family, brother Pippin Matsuo and sisters Mera and Mary.

Kaoru was a very engaging and fun teen and aspired to become an F1 driver racing in some of the lower racing leagues before an accident left her paralyzed and in a wheelchair. Later, she overcame her paralysis and nerve damage to regain her ability to walk inspiring many of her family and friends.

Due to reasons unknown, Kaoru began to have a shift in behavior shortly after her accident, and with the help of her friends, Reign Campbell and others, had endured all that life had to offer until May 4th. Kaoru will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

A funeral and memorial will be held at a later date to be announced.
