The Shen Gallery of Fine arts is proud to present an exclusive showing of two promising local Hathian artists. The opening night event will take place on Friday, November 30th from 8-11 pm, SLT. The public is welcome to attend to show support for these local artists, or just to enjoy the fine art, friends and food for the opening celebration. The featured artists’ work will remain on display and for sale from 11/30 to 12/14.
Bastian Cano, 31, is mostly unknown to the public for his art. His works feature unique photo manipulation and photo-realistic paintings of similar style.”The sensual and quizzical nature of his work really intrigues me, says Gallery owner, Inara Shen. “I think his style appears to both the layman and the art expert. Visitors to the gallery for this showing are really in for a treat.”
Coralie Wirsing, 18, has already established herself in the art world, supplying watercolors and landscapes for a hotel chain. “I’m excited for Cora to be able to display her more expressive, personal work at the gallery.” said the gallery owner. “Sometimes painting for commissions can limit your subject matter and the mood of your work. Cora has promised to make a few special works just for the show.”
