The Hotel La Salle is Hathian’s premiere location for dining, upscale clubbing, and swimming. Pool, Hot Tub, and Beach are open to hotel guests and guests of the Hawaiian Surf Tiki bar. The Privateer Restaurant and Lafitte Lounge Rooftop Pirate Bar are open to the Public.

The Ballroom and Sidebar are available for rental for balls, parties, weddings, bar mitzvahs, and other major events.  Please use our online utility to insure availability.  Catering agreements, basic charge is $1000 for an evening, with a minimum $500 catering and corkage  ((IC payment, no L$ required)).  Management reserves the right to refuse service or require a deposit.   The bars and restaurants are also available for rental by special arrangement.

The Hotel La Salle was built in 1957, with an eye towards the rising economic boom in the region (fueled by natural gas and expanding national markets for fish) and tourists heading to the state parks further down the Delta.  It was the largest hotel in Hathian, and superseded  the nearby New Windsor as the hotel of choice for businessmen.  The ballroom was designed for weddings and other events, and during its heyday, the Knights of Columbus Rotary and Shrine all met here.  The glassed-in restaurant was added in 1964.  The recession of the 1970s led to bankruptcy, and the hotel changed hands six times from 1972-1995, before closing in the wake of Katrina due to extensive water damage.  The hotel was purchased out of receivership by Devon Properties, LLC for $675k in 2012, and refurbished, though many of the original fixtures were retained.
