At approximently 9:00AM on the morning of the 29th, local physician Adam O’Connor was struck by a car outside of the Titty Twister club.
He was found almost three hours later by one Greenlee Morrisey, who reportedly heard him get hit by the car while the two were talking to eachother via their cellphones.
He was promptly taken to the hospital, where a kidney was removed and his wrist set with a pin. Other injuries were stitched up, and O’Connor now lays in the recovery ward suffering from severe brain trauma.
His wife, Aspira O’Connor, sits by his bedside, hoping for nothing but a speedy recovery.
“You hear about things like this happening to others, but you never expect it to hit closer to home.” she says. “It’s really heartbreaking.”
The accident was suspected to be caused by drinking and driving, but no one has been arrested for the hit and run as of yet.
